Thanks for the big grin, Marilyn. Here's grinning back at you!! ... ... ;-D
Ian: I'm so glad Margaret also enjoyed the divine smoked salmon with salad - a lady of impeccable taste, that's for sure!! (((;
I also love the Irish Seafood Chowder and often settled for it, with home baked Soda Bread - delicious too! Ooh now I'm going to have to log off and have some lunch before I fade away (((;
Cheers for now, warm wishes, (a starving) Hazel

Wow - thanks dear friends, Mira - Amelia - I am so glad you like the optical illusions!! I hoped the reflections would be effective when I took the photo - (nearly had to be hauled out of the waterlily pond by alarmed husband) - and was so happy to see that it worked, when the pics were downloaded onto the pc.
Thank you so very much for the gold star, Amelia - wow - that is praise indeed and I am thrilled.
Greetings from Hazel

Hi there Mira - thank you so much for your input here. I am so sorry - I never thought of including leaves, but the tree/s are quite tall and the colour is correct. What attracted me was the lovely soft silky shine! I haven't seen poplar bark that shines like this, but I don't know the overseas poplars! It is growing in a wild area at Muckross House so I don't know if it was purposely planted on not.
But I thank you for your reply and for your very kind last remark - I don't think the group of tourists was interested in tree bark - they probably thought we had seen some exotic insect!
With warmest wishes, Hazel
