Alwyn Rh Joyce
Always liked taking pictures ("Oh, Alwyn, for heaven's sake stop it...!"), and going digital has just made that easier. I frequently don't bother (and am often too lazy!) to think about how I take the picture, so lots of them are hit or miss: I see something and I'll take a photo. Having said that, photos that show the passage of time have always fascinated me, hence the number of photos I have taken from roughly the same position but separated in time. So, if I hear of local engineering work that will change the landscape, I will endeavour to photograph it before and after from the same position (although not necessarilly with the same camera). Have recently got interested in panoramic and multi-megapixel photos (so far up to 200 megapixel compositions), so resizing photos is something of a necessity for Panoramio! :-)

Thanks for the compliment, Sashers, and the title has been duly corrected. I was clearly having a "Doh!" moment! :-D

Many thanks to Rhyso for taking the photo from which this image was cropped, and permitting me to post it here.
Compare this photo to one taken in 1984 (also in this collection) from virtually the same position.

This wouldn't be the first photo Panoramio to be miss-placed elsewhere (I wonder if this has to do with an automated search of place names?) Rest assured, having lived 300 metres from this location for the latter part of the 90's to the early 00's, it is located in Lewes.
