
Always liked taking pictures ("Oh, Alwyn, for heaven's sake stop it...!"), and going digital has just made that easier.
I frequently don't bother (and am often too lazy!) to think about how I take the picture, so lots of them are hit or miss: I see something and I'll take a photo. Having said that, photos that show the passage of time have always fascinated me, hence the number of photos I have taken from roughly the same position but separated in time. So, if I hear of local engineering work that will change the landscape, I will endeavour to photograph it before and after from the same position (although not necessarily with the same camera.
Over the years, I've used a variety of cameras to take the photos (Ricoh, Samsung, Fuji, Canon and Olympus) but am currently using a Panasonic TZ20 and a Canon 550D, together with my Galaxy S2 mobile (which seems to provide great photos to stitch together for panoramas).
