Hello again Ben de Graaf. Yes, it is really the Aphrodisias Stadion :-)). I guess it is also an old photo from 1961 as the others. The Stadion doesn't changed within all the years as you surely know from your latest visit in 2004. Cheers and greetings to the Netherlands, Andreas

For me it is not necessary to refresh my memories. We hane visited Afrodisias again in 2004. The excavations are -though not ended - splendid! We enjoyed most of all the Tetrapylon and the big theater with the proscenium and the tempels in front.

The more recent photos of the stadium are not much different from this. Either excavations and restoration, if any were completed by 1967 or the stadium was not ruined so much for thousands of years.
