An invite has been sent to join, they're currently over 975 members already in the group of which the photos are focused on our continent's railroading heritage and future... Also if you like to check out the new Google+ Page for North American Railroaders. Joining Panoramio groups should help to increase your view counts..

Glad to see someone posted a picture of the old Rowe quarry! Thanks for sharing!

Greetings from Germany, Felix.

Great picture! Fascinating to see a train in that location. They recently started ripped up a lot of the ties/rail between there and Danvers.

Excellent photo.VOTED

Salt Lake Central Station (why can't Panoramio copy the caption from Picasa?)

Abandoned train tunnel - not so. The railroad was abandoned before the tunnel was built; it's not big enough for a train. This is the north end of the Bruce Freeman rail trail, completed some time before I was there in Nov 2009.

Bedford, Mass. - From the 1870s to the 1970s, Bedford’s Depot Park bustled with passengers from the Boston and Maine Railroad. As the old B&M faded away, so did the depot. But Bedford has a plan to return this historically significant landmark along the Lexington line to its former grandeur.
