Beautiful photos of a beautiful area. My Grandmother was born and grew up just a little straight east of the lake in the mountain community around the Mountain Springs Cemetery. Thanks, I enjoyed seeing these.

It was 2:00A.M. August 1st,1973, Three days after I turned 18. Legs stiff from the long Flight and long time standing in formation. The haircut was the next thing up, then the dumping of civies in a box, oh yeah don't forget the amnesty barrels...lol. And your first set of fatigues,boxers,t-shirt,boots,and of course the cover.... then to the Rack waiting for dawn to come..... Nobody slept.
The setting sun really brought out the color of the brick.
