This is the old obstruction light tower on the peak, it was maintained by Nellis AFB Civil Engineering, Access was by the LV Metro PD helicopter. I have been to it many times. Locals used their high powered rifels to shoot it out on a regular basis. I will try to post a picture of me standing on top of it in uniform if I can.

This one made it in the Winter Wonderland story in today's Las Vegas Review Journal....
