David Wilson's conversations

Unsurprisingly given the area is so photogenic, we have many of the same scenes in our galleries. I do like this one anongst others!. Best wishes, Andy

I am very familiar with this part of the world and this captures the essence of it very well! Like

The original was just a bit too contrasty. The resolution isn't too great either, as this is an old one (2002) from the early days of experimenting with digital photography before I owned a DSLR - taken with a 4mpx Canon A40.

With the opening of the enormous new terminal 3, terminals 1 and 2 have been closed and mothballed.

,,,and that even includes the new car park - narrow on/off ramps with sharp turns at each floor, weird circulation and poor signage. I'm glad I drive a small car!

The people in this photo are heading into a covered bridge to terminal 3. It has been so hot this summer that the rubber flooring in the bridge has bubbled up into a series of ridges.

Your right you can't. Yes I know who you mean she is in a number of the photos.

Thanks Annette - I also did the conventional take which shows the whole wall and a super wide angle close up, which are either side of this shot. Quite a tricky exposure as the wall was in deep shadow with the sun in front of me. Shooting RAW gave just enough latitude to pull it off.

Fantastic construction, it really seems a miracle this is still standing upright. Besides this is a really nice contribution to the washing day thread, too :o)) YSL!

Best wishes, Anette
