Hello Heinz,
I'm really pleased by your kind appreciation.
Warm greetings, Paolo
I was looking for just such a picture after reading the lyrical chapter on 'To the Cotswolds' in JB Priestly's English Journey. This is what he wrote about old George, a Cotswold mason' in 1932:
"..He is in his seventies but still at it. When I met him he was engaged in the almost lost art of dry-walling, pulling down some ramshackle old walls and converting their materials into smooth solid ramparts. .."
Has this craft gone with the ages?
Fascinating landscape, so well registered Like - My regards.
