I and my family spent a week here when there was a great resort (awarded Environmental prize) here called Marina del Nido. Unfortunately, a typhoon destroyed much of the beautiful cottages. Then the kidnapping in Mindanao ruined the tourism and the owners closed it down. But it's paradise unspoiled. The underwater life and unspoiled corals are magnificent since it is part of the Marine preserve of entire area. No need to go to Fiji, Tahita, (Bora-Bora) ... this is island paradise at its finest!

Nah! Sorry .. I was born here and live here and I just get to visit these islands when I want. Besides ... t\you canot buy most of the islands or - for that matter - most of the land in Fiji as it is about 90% owned by the Fiji people!

Beautiful shot of Dumunpalit Island. I first "discovered" it when sailing to Busuanga in 1989. It was uninhabited then. Today, it has a small cottage and 2 caretakers. Still pristine.
