Look closely and beyond, for there is so much to see. Look both at the beautiful and the plain and record what you see, for things change, sometimes rapidly and sometimes imperceptibly. The Vikings got everywhere, Keith, and I'm not all surprised if there is some connection here. I think houses are colourful In Norway and probably the west coast of Scotland to cheer folks up on dreich days. :)
