I can well imagine it, especially if the road surface was wet murram & thus very slippery. We came across several other bridges that were equally off-putting because of the lack of strong side barriers - mercifully however the weather remained dry throughout our trip.
that is a pretty good idea of making table mats from your photo collection. i might start doing the same just for memories. You and you daughter must have been smart getting along with the place without a guide.Hope you are recovering from the torn.
