I can't begin to imagine the frozen hell these heroes had to deal with during their time here fighting the Germans while short on food, ammo, medical supplies and sufficient winter clothing. I've read that the avg. temp. during this time period was about minus 10-20 degrees F.
What a great spot Chris, went there for the First time yesterday, water was a bit lower, had my camera set on 2 - 5 seconds.

Amazing beauty, very well captured, my friend!
The last time I was in Long Beach, California with the Aquaproducts Co at the Pool Convention. I am the guy on the left. The guy on the right used to be a crewmember on this boat. It was in Cam Rahn Bay Vietnam after the US finally pulled out in 1975. Our VP-50 squadron in Moffatt Field in Mountain View, CA would chase the Russians all over the pacific back then. I was SS2 on Crew 10 and 14 then. It brought me full circle emotionally to do this.
Hi Chris this view of Dartmouth brings back happy memories of our touring holidays in devon and cornwall, it seems a long time ago :-) Like..Best Regards Richard
