Hans van der Leeuw's conversations

Hello, Hans. I'm glad you stopped in to see your old diner. This guy really did do a very nice job fixing it up again. If you ever make it all the way out to Utah, you'll have to make sure to stop by.

You are quite right, in Holland we would call this a 'stoep' (pronounced same as stoop) this picture proves to me that all mothers are created equal, and all are equally dear. What strikes me about this photo is she decided to stand in the most dangerous part of the stoep for this portrait and I'm wondering whether this tells us something about her personality.

Hi Hans! Rotterdammer van nature zou ik alles wat Amsterdam is af moeten wijzen (onzin natuurlijk) maar met zulke plaatjes is dat wel héél moeilijk!

Gr, Ed.

I did look at the other similar photograph, and I like this one more because of the gesture of the woman you have centered on. She seems to have such concern from the sad event.

Hans

Well I noticed your photo when looking at the map in Panoramio. We almost have the same shot in different seasons. You were standing left of me. Crazy! :]
