You do such great photography! This photo is simply wonderful. My ancestors were members of this church in the late 1700s and early 1800s. I am wondering if I could use this photograph in my family ancestry book I am currently composing. Please advise. Thanks much.

Hello,

We are looking for images to help promote a development in Ashwell. We were wondering if you would be willing for us to use this image? We would be happy to give you further details about how it would be used.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Now the area is owned by the Rothschilds....

This is Hawen Chapel http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/991256

The secret bridge is bridge number 14. Its the old cattle underpass. Hopefully in thenext 5 years trains will be running over it.

The Church is St Marys to give it's English name or Llanfair Orllwyn in welsh. Which is also the name of the Parish surrounding it. It was part of the diocese of St Davids Cathedral and Part of the Hundred of Troedyraur. my Parents were married there after the war, my grandparents on my mothers side and a number of family members are buried there. If you look at the county series of OS maps from about 1840 the church is clearly marked on them as St Marys. Hwyl Peter

Stormy it looks! Annette
