We seem to spend our entire lives trying to make sense of the world we live in. Taking photographs is just part of that process. Thanks for dropping by my Panoramio album. I hope you find at least one picture that grabs you.

Neil in Sheffield UK's conversations

Hi Neil, lovely photo. I wondered whether you would give me permission to use this photo on our Ax les a Thermes holiday apartment website? If yes, can you let me know how to access a high resolution version? Thanks.

Sorry, I forgot to tell you I'd pinned my other photos as I know you'll be struggling to sleep at night.

All of my sites are on a Google+ account I believe. If you sign out it should go to a Google+ page. It's such a shame this is happening even though I haven't been doing much photography over the last year or so. I've been very much involved with the Save Sheffield Street Trees campaign and other things as well as dealing with my stressful job so, unless I get a lottery win very soon I'm not going to be doing much photography in the near future - it's way too time consuming. I need to retire early like your good self. :)

Nice picture bur this is how to spell - WEIR.

We've been working at the nearby water treatment works and decided to refresh some memories by having a google earth tour around Barmby, and look what I came across! A field, a drain and some houses!

Thank you Bernard. I appreciate your kind comments and like. Best wishes, Doug

Hi Neil, I have a photo and a description about Bramley's Cott on the website under the WALKING tag. I've only just noticed that I've failed to put it on the Web Index so I will rectify that now. Despite much research, I've been unable to discover who was Bramley or much about the cabin at all. As the roof was cut into the rock face, taking much skill and effort, I would think it once was a shooting box rather than a shepherd's hut - but I really don't know.

L+F haven't visited for a while. Nice collection of photo's

I often snap pictures of our red phone boxes because they are disappearing rapidly. Some have become village information booths or book swap units. You will be more welcome than ever to holiday in Great Britain. The European Union discriminated against Australians and other Commonwealth citizens in favour of its own and though I voted "Remain", I found that discrimination distasteful and unfair. I have more in common with most Australians/ Canadians/ New Zealanders than I have with Slovakians and Romanians.
