My father worked at this harbor loading and offloading supplies for the island while he was stationed there in '75-'77. I was 11 yrs old at the time, but this brings back so many memories. The Army used to have U-boat rides (tugboats) around the island to Angra. I saw my first sharks while on one such ride, right after the movie "Jaws" had come out at the theatre on the base. Lovely people and a very lovely island.
