Thank you Erik Eshuis and archrodney. The previous photo of archrodney and "hit the road, Jack" immediately reminded me of this one. I'm lost about "Lost" :) but glad you like it!

Dear Erik, thanks a lot for visiting my gallery and for the many *s! I feel honoured! I agree with you about the other one, there are still some more, which I will upload, when I finally put up the whole series of Ireland 2007.

Warm regards, May

Thanks for the explanation, Marilyn! I thought, that smoke comes from the wood, judging by the colours of the sky. :) Wonderful capture. cheers, archrodney!

Marilyn, it's good to hear from you as well. Thank you for your compliments! I also consider this one as one of my luckier shots with my new camera, which gives me just a bit more possibilities than my old Canon. Still not a DSLR but a very welcome update. I raised the contrast a bit to hide the details in the shadow part. Ascoli Piceno is a not so well known, but very nice little city in the Marche, Italy. In the background you see the Apennine Mountains.

Best wishes to you, Erik

Marilyn: I believe a photo could be much better with a good title. Thanks for your friendly comment!
