Christophe, Marilyn -- thank you. You're right, Marilyn - I think this is the only one I've seen in a tree -- and they are, indeed, common here. Penny

Thanks, Marilyn. I was told that the red colobus monkey has become very rare and only lives on Zanzibar nowadays. We were lucky when this one was posing for us. Cheers, Christophe

marioitc, I'm sorry that I didn't see your comment until now. Unfortunately, on Panoramio the photographer who maps the picture has absolutely no control over what name is given under the map. That is done automatically, and sometimes like now it is incorrect, but I cannot change it.

Hi again, Ruth. I'm glad you found this one, too, which I posted in the Photochain collection. (Photochain is a game but people haven't been very active lately; anyone is welcome to post a picture by signing in the user name photochain@gmail.com, and using the password guest. Each posted picture should have some kind of relationship to the picture just before it.) I have been enjoying your Malta photos, and will be back to see more. It is a fascinating country. Cheers, Marilyn

I'm glad you found this, Bruce, and thanks for the Gold star.

This is one of the instances that has been teaching me gradually that, in going forth to photograph nature, sometimes the situations (weather, etc.) that you get are better than what you thought you wanted!!

Cheers, Marilyn

A lovely reflection in this, Christophe! And a calming symmetry. However, I am going to deviate just a little... Cheers, alicia
