Happy memories Bob I was brought up in the house to the right of the one with the green bay window to right in this photo. Spent Many a day playing on this Canal Bank and paddling my canoe up and down this canal stretch lol.

Hi Anupam, This is a fantastic place. Canaima National Park is well worth a visit. Unfortunately the plane I took this pic from (A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan)crashed in Canaima National Park in April 2009, killing a boy of 6. The Airline,( Línea Turística Aereotuy - LTA) has a lousy safety record.
