I won't buy $5 shakes (this a personal budget thing - not a comment on quality or goodness), but the coffee is good. It's nice to have a place to sit down and chat with clients so close to my office Prudential Unlimited Realty - www.TheBostonHomeTeam.com and have a coffee. It's very kid friendly and has a nice little fireplace to one side.

run The Boston Home Team and sometimes I bring clients here after they close to say thanks for their business. The food is always good. There's only about 4 or 5 choices for entrees on any given menu - which I like. It reduces ordering time to less than 30 minutes. I'm not good at making up my mind when it comes to food. The Wednesday night prix fix is hard to beat at $25 a plate and the wine pairing is a great way to expand your palette. The only way to learn more about wine is to drink it. Damn it, someone has to do it. If you're one of those tiny girls who gets cold - don't sit by the door in winter months. Also, if you really enjoy cooking - sit at the two-seater bar and watch the cooks. Best eats in Jamaica Plain.
