Der sogenannte "Donndorfbrunnen" im Stadtzentrum von Weimar: Geleitstraße, Ecke Rittergasse.
Im Hintergrund die Pension Feder und die alternative Jugendherberge "Hababusch Hostel".
The ketch on the left is a 32' Dreadnaught design named "Beluga", which I owned a few years ago. Prior to my ownership she was sailed to Tahiti. The boats in the extreme distance are moored in an area of Two Harbors known as "The Wall", where, incidentally, Natalie Wood fell from the yacht "Splendor" and drowned in 1981. We were on a mooring about a quarter mile away that weekend and never knew it happened until we heard it on the news on Monday morning.
Actually, this location is several hundred yards off the beach about 4.5 miles west of Point Fermin which is in San Pedro, California, not far from Long Beach. The community in the background is part of Palos Verdes and accessible via Yacht Harbor Drive. There is a whale-watching and interpretive center 3 miles west of this location.
