Hi, congratulations for this photo. But i have to correct you. In fact, these are not fish boats. The boat that you see in first place, the blue one, was used for cargo, p.e. salt. This boat was able to transport until a maximum of 15 ton. That's true! This boat is called "Mercantel". The other boats that you see were used to catch and transport algae. The algae were harvested in the lagoon and transported to land to be used as fertilizer in agriculture. That is why in the past all farmers had also one of these boats. These boats are called "Moliceiros". Moliceiros because the name of the algae is Molico. Take care Pedro Almeida
