I clearly stated that it was my personal impression (as an occasional visitor). Impressions should not be accorded more value than what they are : impressions. I used my "impression" just to make my compliment to davide a bit stronger. I visited a lot of cities troughout Europe and I agree that it takes some time to discover what they are really like. A visit of 2 times one day certainally does NOT make me an authority on Soton... On the other hand, your (chauvinist?) reaction is well over the top. Greetings out of (a rather dull and ugly part of )an european city...
