I have a son buried here in Tobruk war cemetary. He was aged 7 when we lost him in 1969. I have only just found this site and have been trying to use google earth to locate his grave, but am not much good at it. I located the CWGC in 2006 to see if they could get me a photograph, as we paid for a headstone, but am still waiting to hear. We had no choice but to leave him there, as the accident happened during the revolution and all the exits out of Lybia were closed. However, it comforts me to know that the cemetary will always be looked after and that he lies with other brave men not that much older than he. I am now aged 75 so doubt I will ever get back to Lybia, so to be able to look at these photographs, bring him closer for me. Thank You for this website
