Most of my Panoramio photos are of NYC, where I have lived all of my life. My photos are the pictures that I see when I walk around my home. Some are of well-known places but many are not. Many of them were taken below 23rd Street, in neighborhoods such as the East Village and the Lower East Side. All of my photos are tagged with a street name or other location identifier: click 'Show all tags' on any album page, to see my complete tag list and to look for photos at a specific location. Dear Nelsachi! Thank you for your kind words!

I am surprised to see that both structures of the famous M.F.Lyons Oysters and Dining Rooms 1872-1907 are still standing. I had thought it was only one structure that had partly survived. Teddy Roosevelt and Chester A. Arthur used to eat there. Open 24 hours. The "Delmonico's of the Bowery". Very famous in its day until the entertainment business moved uptown.

das ist ein "flugfähiges Argument" :)

Do you mean maybe March 2008?

@BMGrace: Thanks. I also created a 'drawing' using a different photo of the sculpture, which you can see here

have to admit that one may find this jacket at some places... ;)

normally graffiti photos are more eye-catching in color, but this one works fine in b/w

It's very debatable ... and better than corporate advertising in any case ...
