Most of my Panoramio photos are of NYC, where I have lived all of my life. My photos are the pictures that I see when I walk around my home. Some are of well-known places but many are not. Many of them were taken below 23rd Street, in neighborhoods such as the East Village and the Lower East Side. All of my photos are tagged with a street name or other location identifier: click 'Show all tags' on any album page, to see my complete tag list and to look for photos at a specific location. Thanks for the good wishes, Miguel. I hope you had a great holiday.

aha... in NYC the "Weihnachtsman" comes this way? Maybe you will meet him - just follow the Christmas star, Lucia...

merry christmas :)

From February 1962 the street level basement of this building served as the home of the Alpha Chapter of Cooper Union's Alpha Mu SIgma Fraternity. A fire (around) April 1965 displaced the fraternity and heavily damaged the building. While there, fraternity members found two more lower levels of basements with much old and unfamiliar debris. No one, at that time had any idea that the building was already 120 years old.

Wirklich schön geworden, eindrucksvoll die Schatten.
