This was the Home of pianist Vladimir Horowitz from the 1940s until his death in 1989. Just behind those second floor windows sat a nine foot Steinway concert grand piano on which he played daily. There were also several recordings made here in his later years. Search YouTube for "Vladimir Horowitz - The Last Romantic" if you are interested.
Most of my Panoramio photos are of NYC, where I have lived all of my life. My photos are the pictures that I see when I walk around my home. Some are of well-known places but many are not. Many of them were taken below 23rd Street, in neighborhoods such as the East Village and the Lower East Side.
