Dear Rawsam: Suppose that me and my child wanted to play on the beach in Gaza. Would that be possible being that I'm Jewish? You, as a Palestinian living in the town you call Asdod, are cetainly welcome to play with your child anywhere in Israel in freedom and safety. Maybe we'll meet on the beach someday and say Shalom/Salaam.

Israel is the ancient and modern Jewish homeland. There has always been a Jewish presence in Israel even though the Jews were driven out of Israel several times over the course of history (Rome and Bavel, i.e.). Your grandfathers and many others came to our land to occupy it in our absence. They even built mosques on the site of our Temple. Your grandfathers are the reason you are here in Israel today.

Before modern Israel was founded the Jews were called Paletinians because we all lived in "Palestine." Palestinian Arabs are from many different Arab lands. Tell me, before your grandfathers came to Israel where were they from?
