Across the street is the Villa Olga which my family and I lived for 4 years when my father was stationed at Aviano AB. There is a shrine outside the wall by the front gate. The villa according to what our neighbors told us, was Budoia's NAZI headquarters and that the basement was where people were executed. Not sure if it is true or not about the executions, but you could see holes in the concrete walls.
The person who took this picture is standing next to a wall that many a vehicle hit as well as a man I saw riding his bicycle slam into it. He cracked his head open really bad and eventually died which was probably due to that it took 3 hours for an ambulance to get to the scene and nobody wanted to take him to the hospital.
Other than that, I was great living in the town, and I really miss the place.
