Not sure what your talking about, this is just a shelter along a trail in William O'Brien State Park, its well inside the park boundaries. It's not even a cabin.
Really nice place. We stayed there July 19-20, 2011.
A small correction: the name is Effigy Mounds National Monument.
Pike's Peak is such a beautiful park, especially in the fall and winter. Some of the views of the Mississippi river here rival views in the Northeastern US. I love the fact that so much of the path is now a boardwalk. The Indian mounds in bird, bear and circle shapes all along the trails in this park really add to the mystery. One of my favorite places. Not enough people know about this wonderfull park
Precioso sitio para vivir y morir
Asi lo debio pensar Caballo Loco
Tengo interes en esta historia, si sabes algo dimelo por favor
Accually that is Julian Dubuques Grave.
It was never used as a lookout tower.
Looks a little to small for cars ;)
Wouldn't mind running around with those lovely animals . buffalo bill ;) THINK i could become their closest human friend EVER ;)
is this like an intown safari trip or are they just lying there blocking the street for people in this very area ;) looks nice though ;) LOL
This shot really grabs the "look and feel" of Frontenac - a fabulously private, even when packed, state park - the bluffs cause a constant breeze off the lake, and keep the mosquitoes to a minimum, too.
