Graeme Whittle's conversations

Hi Graeme, This is my fathers Nursery - Cockbain's Sawtell Nursery. Dad and I were wondering how you came about publishing a photo of my fathers residence without consent? It comes up in the google search when looking up Toormina Gardens shopping centre and this is not associated with this establishment at all. It is a beautiful pristine place and a wonderful image, but it is false advertisement. This email is meant in kindness, we were simply wondering. Kate. :)

Like to know what equip. u usually use. Contemplating buy of new/ used mid level digital.

Wonderful picture Graeme, very nice mood!

Greetings, Per

Wonderful flower field, beautiful colors *Graeme *! great contrast between the yellow Dandelions and the blue Lavender!

It deserves an YS!

Best wishes from Denmark,

Per

Should read "...near English Town"

The title of this photograph has been challenged as inappropriate as, in the opinion of the challenger, it is simply "regrowth forest" after "harvesting" and that the area has now been re-planted.

I would suggest that the forest was destroyed the first time it was cut down. I very much doubt that there was ever an audit of tree types, under story growth or wildlife habitat before that initial destruction. Furthermore, I would suggest that there has never been any attempt to restore the forest, rather a simple planting of one or two fast growing species of eucalyptus accompanied with liberal spraying of herbicide to prevent the growth of anything else.

A quick Google Earth look at the forestry coops around the town of Mathinna in Tasmania will reveal the extent of forest destruction in the state (use the tools>ruler to measure), and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Deddington Chapel is the site of John Glover's Grave.
