New Barn Lane was the home of Whyteleafe FC between 1946 and 1959 (when they moved to Church Road). This picture was taken in 1957 when the team won "the Hospitals Cup". The photo was of course monochrome but tinted and used for the club's programme cover in their 60th anniversary season, 2005/06.
The stand in the background of the picture is still there. The pitch is the playing field for a school.

nice view of our road, although it's best now in May when the garlic are in full flower, it hasn't changed much in 35 years.
