As far as I know, redwood trees are classified in the cupressaceae or cypress family. Thus one does not preclude the other. Therefore I would like to leave the title the way the owners of Dereen Garden classified the tree.

This photo is not taken from Shelter Cove, as stated. It is a photo of Montara State Beach, taken from the south end of the beach looking north.
