Thanks for these expressive photos from Napadivka. Thanks to these photos, we now know that this place still exists, many here in Denmark did not know what happened to Napadivka. The Danish philologist Thor Lange married in 1883 with Napadivka’s owner Natalia Michailovna Protopov and he lived there until his death in 1915. Thor Lange translated a lot of Russian folk songs and another example. Igor sung (Слово о полку Игореве). Thor Lange was reburied in Copenhagen, when his widow after the revolution moved to Denmark. Natalia Michailovna was not bitter at the revolution. Earth on the estate was divided, so that all peasants had a 6 part also Natalia Michailovna. She told a Danish newspaper that she thought it was a fair system, but after some years she realized that she was not suitable as a farmer and imigrede to Denmark.
