Hermann, my apologies that it took so long to reply. I do not check Panoramio that often.

Your best bet is to go to Machias Seal Island. There are several companies that will take you out there from Maine. Just Google Machias Seal Island or Puffin Tours in ME.

I'll note, that the further north you travel the more common Puffins will become - so much so that they become a delicacy like in Iceland.
