The Holy Family Chapel is an integral aspect of Nazareth House. In this photo, the residents have gathered at the coffin of one of their recently deceased members.

This photo was taken on a calm winters day, when I was kayaking around the islands in the upper harbour, Lyttelton

I took this photograph on 26 June 1992 during the Bosnian War. Croats and Muslims had taken over the city 3 days earlier. We were within sniper range of the Serbs on the hillside. The hotel in the left is still in ruins (2007).

THe south side of Sydenham Park gets rain soaked.

Fortunately tuberculosis has almost disappeared from NZ. This hillside used to be a sanitorium with lodges set among the trees and with wonderful views. It has been redeveloped in recent years.

Christchurch has lots of parks. I came upon this delightful one unexpectedly. It is a couple of kilometres from home.
