The red telephone booth is fast disappearing in Britain, at least as a means for dialing a call. Some booths in London are just empty shells, with no phones but presumably still there to be photogenic. This photo was taken in 2001.
Statue to Samuel de Champlain in Couchiching Beach Park, Orillia, Ontario. Champlain is considered a founder of Canada. 10,000 people attended the 1925 unveiling. Vernon March, sculptor of the National War Memorial in Ottawa, also sculpted this work.

Vernon March who is sculptor of the National War Memorial in Ottawa, Canada, also did this monument in Orillia before dying at a young age.
