If you like exploring the National Parks, Monuments and Historic Sites of the United States of America then www.nationaparklover.com is the place for you. There are hundreds of pages of photographs, information and links to US National Park sites. Also included are hundreds of pictures of a project I did. I documented the entire length of Dry Creek in Northern Sacramento County and Western Placer County.

Steve Schmorleitz's conversations

Hi There, This structure is the spillway where the logs that came down the canel were rolled from the canel into the mill pond. From there they went into the mill to be made into lumber. See R.S. Polinghorn's book on Michigan Cal's Logging Railroad. It has a picture the back of the mill with the pond full of logs, the cement spillway is on the left.

I've always wondered what it looked like without the waterfall there. When was this taken?

Excellent view and lovely Photo
