I like very much this Photograph of the museum, I visit Shibden Park Many times when I come to the area. I see that you also have some 'photos of Hebden Bridge, another favourite place of mine.

The position of this photograph, however, is slightly inacurate, I think it should be 53 43 42 N, 1 50 24 W. If you zoom in to this position you can see clearly see the trough of stone that is in the centre left of your 'photo.

Do you have any more 'photos of Calderdale?

Yes the photograph was taken, I think, in the 70s when I was a student in Leeds. I am very sad and shocked to hear that the ruin is to be demolished, I'm sure it will be missed by residents and visitors alike.

For me it is one of the jewels of Calderdale and should be preserved at any cost.

Hello Causbrite, yes the position is slightly inaccurate. When first I posted the photograph,the resolution of Google Earth's image of the area was not as good as it appears now.

Hi Joao, Yes, trouble is I've only got photos on my computer for the past couple of years. Now I know about Panoramio I may have to scan some older ones onto the computer from holidays gone by! Cheers, Geoff L.
