The AQHA rancher statue is a life-sized statue of one of Texas' most famous ranchers. I can't remember his name, but I believe his wife commissioned the statue and gave it to the AQHA in rememberance of her late husband. It's a sweet gesture to memorialize a great cattleman and horse breeder. The AQHA has the whole history behind the statue at their museum on the premises of the HQ.

Thanks, I was practically standing in the middle of the river to take it. The river level was low, so I could get out oto some rocks to get an "in the river view" of the falls. Thanks for posting!

You are correct, I couldn't remember the hwy number when I placed it on the map, but it is a contiguous highway from Hwy 3 in OR up through WA and becomes HWY 129. But we approached it from the hwy 3 side, and at the time I took the picture I didn't know if we were still in OR or had crossed over into WA. There's no highway signange on this highway that I can remember that tells when you are on over the WA line. So, in my mind at the time, it was still hwy 3. Thanks! :)
