Some digital photos taken with Sony DSC-H1 digital SLR camera, except for photo scans and panos. Photo scans of film-based photos taken with Nikon F1 or F2 with Tamron 2.8-5.6 lens. Photos after May 2010 use Promaster wide angle adaptor (.7X) for Sony DSC-H1 and with (or without) Hoya Moose Warm (81A) circular polarizer. Some newer photos, incl. panos are taken with a Fujifilm AX300, you can tell by the bluer hues and lack of filtering, I tried to compensate in post-processing, but the camera is still very blue-ish and lacks depth.

Idyliic setting and nicely captured at the right time of day with contrasts and colors. Nice job, love the name of this tiny lake, wish I were there!

Beautiful composition bud! Interesting light and clouds, good color, and I love how you use the trees to repeat the V notch through the trees, across the lake and into the mountains beyond, allowing the viewer to see the range just beyond! Very nice!

Excellent picture of Jenny Lake! Absolutely beautiful bud! Some of the best composition I've seen for this region!

Thanks, I'm glad you knew that. I've had inquiries on some of my pics from this region, and I must admit I know only a small amount about the history of the region, I just enjoyed taking these beautiful pics. Thanks for the input!

Thank you for your comments...they are meaningful to me. I too find the history of this area interesting. La Plata Canyon is particularly special to me because it holds world class scenery and is very close to my home.

Beautiful place! Greetings from São Paulo (Brasil), André.

Beautiful wide-angle shot! Great color! Good job!

Beautiful pic of 3 Fingered Jack! Thanks for the treat! I love Oregon!

This is a wonderful Pano of Independence Pass, Colorado. What camera was used to take this? I have been looking for a decent digital pano camera that doesn't cost a ton and it needs to take these kinds of pano's that the eye can make out normally. A lot of what I see on the market are true 360 panos, which I don't necessarily want, not do they look that great. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Great photography!
