Could I use this photo on the Elfrida Elementary School Website that I am designing for them. This is a GREAT photo.
I have hunted these mountains from Mill Ridge (at Rosevelt Dam) to Sunflower and beyond with bear and lion dogs on horseback for many years back in the 1955 to 1970 and the pictures do bring back a lot of fond memories. Thanks to all who have posted them! We used to camp there at the El Oso Mine cabins many times. and havs trailed and treed game many times on these mountains
That makes sense. Binocular vision is good for judging distance only out to a certain point. Beyond that, the visual system uses other cues, such as contrast. I know from the dozens of pictures I've taken of that mountain that its contrast is greatly enhanced by snow.
Google Earth actually marks the area where I place the marker. I can only name the image and place the marker. When I check the image now, GE said "1 Km from Springerville, Arizona (United States)"
Nice Places to camp
More Arizona beauty. A small trail runs through the valley and crosses several creek areas
Beautiful high country along Coronado Trail
Are these Illegals or is this Sheriff Arpaio's inmates?
I remember Phoenix so small in 1951. 34th St and Van Buren was edge of town on East side. The freeways did not exist at that time.Gasoline was 18 cents per gallon.
