It was called R.P Gray Store & the Signpine Post Office.
The R. P. Gray Store and Signpine Post Office (036-5026) was constructed in I894 by R. P. Gray. The store contained a general store, post office, butcher..the office for the lumber mill and living quarters for the family. The store occupied the ma}nportion of the interior on the first story. The butcher, post office and lumber mill offices were located in small rooms on the first story. The family lived on the second story until the Great Depression when R.P.
Gray had his millworkers construct a house to the west of the store (the yellow house).
