A breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding islands can be viewed from Hunting Island's 132' tall Lighthouse.

The Ocmulgee River Bridge, Lumber City, GA. ~ Along the edge of this powerful structure.

Ocmulgee River Bridge, Lumber City, Georgia. This through-truss SouthernRailway bridge once rotated on it's center pier to allow Steamboats to pass. Southern also maintained wharves on the riverbank to transfer freight to and from the boats. No trace of these remain today.

The 2,800 ft Norfolk Southern Railway Bridge crossing the Ocmulgee River in Lumber City, Georgia. The bridge operator's shed atop the structure gave him a good view of the action along the tracks as well as on the river. When the bridge was constructed in 1916, steamboat traffic had already begun to decline.

This is the stone bridge adjacent to Fernleigh Cottage crossing the Susquehanna River just south of the Main Street Bridge and north of the Mill Street Bridge. Commissioned by Edward Clark about the same time as Kingfisher Tower on Otsego Lake.
