Lonesome for Wheels
The original Pleasant Valley Church ~ A one room church and school from 1911 to 1940. In 1940 the school was moved, but the church continued here until 1987. The deacons used to store their moonshine in the attic for safekeeping. Everything is still original including the hardwood benches.

Small train depot in Ideal Ga. The town was originally named Joetown, but when two railroad executives stopped in the town, one proclaimed it an "ideal" place for a railroad station, and the other declared he'd just named it. The population of Ideal is around 518, and the total area is 1.17 square miles.
In 1775 during the travels of botanist William Bartram, he first discovered Golden St. John's Wart ( *Hypericum aureum*) near this site on the Patsiliga creek.

The old Fickling's Mill can be found on what was known in 1810 as *The old Stage Coach Road.* Near here were stables where fresh horses were kept for stage coaches, and an Inn where travelers on the coaches spent the night. Many noted guests including General Lafayette were entertained near here.
