Finally checking my pics 2015 (more Internet access lately!). The Galena trail tramway is approx. 1 Km. from the Three Forks trail access. The photo icon was placed by eyeball on Google Earth. The photo was taken with a 0.3 Mpix $10 camera with no Gps locator. The old Alamo mine mill is right next to the tramway crossing.
Kiwibirdman is that cabin habital? If a person was wanting to hide out could they access this cabin on foot from Langford along the abandoned E&N rail line? (help find Emma Fillipoff)
This fire was started by a lightning strike and put out by rain. The only fault on the human's part was that previous fires were likely put out quickly which allowed a huge forest fuel base to build up.

the Location is correct. I Think it is closer to Three Forks then New Denver. We drove from Kaslo by car, walked from Three Folks to cable car and back.
I don't remember how manny time we spend for that.
