This is a photo of Royal Reward Chamberlain and his wife Farrel Knudsen-Chamberlain at Bryce Canyon Circa 1930. Royal worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as the Manager of Tourism. He organized tours from Salt Lake City to the National Parks in Utah. They were avid hikers. Royal was raised in Kanab in Southern Utah and as a boy was one of the first white people to see the Grand Canyon. His family was one of the early families to cut roads into the Grand Canyon.
