Wigwell is the valley running along the northern edge of Charlbury north of Nine Acres Lane. A lovely small stream runs down into the river Evenlode through the fields. In the past there used to be wells for the town's water supply. The fields are still owned by Thames Water but are now a nature reserve because of the flowers that grow there. The fields are rented out for low-density grazing to a local farmer who keeps rare breed cattle.
