I like how you give us a nice distance shot of this one, Sara. It's amazing how big this is, isn't it?

Thank you for your comments...they are meaningful to me. I too find the history of this area interesting. La Plata Canyon is particularly special to me because it holds world class scenery and is very close to my home.

I am pretty sure these are the Twilight Peaks

What a nice place, captured in a beautiful picture. I really like your gallery, Sara. Ciao, Andrea

Beautiful shot and colors!

Greetings from Italy

u photos are so cool

Hello Sara. Just discovered your excellent sunset of Lake Powell. I like the delicate colours. Greetings from RAY have a nice day Save our Planet

Stunning pictures from an amazing part of the country. I spent a few months in New Mexico, several years ago, after moving away from my home state of WV. My first reaction was incredible insecurity...I was so used to the lush hills and valleys always surrounding me.

But over the next several weeks I began to understand the appeal of the desert. It was so dry and seemed barren at first, but something about it captivated me. I can't wait to return someday and show my wife the places I explored.

Thanks for the great pics from your part of the country...and please keep 'em coming!

From West Virginia,
