The Romanesque synagogue that was razed by the Nazis in 1938.

There are several 'National Revival' style mansions of the Bulgarian Renaissance which characterise 'Old Plovdiv'. This one is The House of Georgi Mavridi where the French poet Alfonse de Lamartin lived in 1833. Also known as Lamartin's House or "the house of writer's". Today it houses the creative fund of the Union of Bulgarian Writers. The 'National Revival' style mansions typically expand outwards with each storey by means of timber-framed oriels. It was an ingenious design to satisfy the demands of wealthy merchants in the 19th century for spacious interiors. The most prominent oriel on the facade, usually denotes the grand reception room inside. Both the inner and outer walls are frequently decorated with floral motifs or have 'false' columns painted in the style known as alafranga.

Lamartin's House

Occupying the intersection of two of the city's main boulevards with the central square, this imposing building strikes even the ignorant as being "something important". Until August 1990 it was the seat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. Currently home to St. Sofia Hall, which hosts concerts and other events.

The Zeppelin Field (in German: Zeppelinfeld) is located east of the Great Road. It consists of a large grandstand (Zeppelinhaupttribüne) with a width of 360 meters (400 yards) and a smaller stand. It was one of Albert Speer's first works for the Nazi party and was based upon the Pergamon Altar.

Azitaingo Andra Mariaren ermita dugu ikusgai. Ermita hau Elgoibartik Bizkairantz zoan bide nagusi zaharraren alboan dago, eta Untzuetatarren oinetxearekin lotu izan da. Eraikuntza apala eta xumea da, oinplantari dagokionez angeluzuzena eta nabe bakarrekoa, baina barneko aldean irudi berezi eta ezohikoa gordetzen du. Altarearen erdialdean XIV. mende inguruko irudi herrikoi bat dauka, 1,82m-ko kristo gurutziltzatu eta bizargabea. Mundu guztian bizarrik gabeko beste hiru irudi besterik ez dira ezagutzen.

La ermita de Azitain, cuya visita es muy recomendable, está situada al lado del antiguo camino real de Elgoibar y la historia de la ermita siempre ha estado unida a los dominios de los Untzueta, cuya casa solar se encuentra justo enfrente. Es una construcción sencilla, de planta rectangular y de una sola nave. En su interior conserva una imagen poco habitual y especial: un Cristo crucificado imberbe, de 1,82 metros de altura, uno de los tres únicos en el mundo que tienen esa característica. Hay que destacar también la figura de la Virgen con el niño.
